There are two ways to uninstall uTorrent from your computer. The instructions below show how to uninstall the torrent client from the Windows 10 operating system. On previous versions of the operating system, the procedure is the same.
Use the standard Windows removal tool. It opens through the Computer Control Panel. Click the “Start” button to call it, type the word “Panel,” and enter it.
Among the icons and links to the OS settings, in the window that opens, find “Uninstall a program”.
This tool can also be accessed through Windows Explorer from the “This Computer” folder.
In the list of programs, look for uTorrent. Sort the list by name or installation date to make it easier to find.
Select uTorrent and click “Uninstall”.
A window will appear asking you to confirm your actions and answer YES.
Then, if you want to uninstall uTorrent from your computer completely, check the “Delete my settings” box and click the button as shown in the screenshot below to start the uninstall process.
If uTorrent is not removed using the standard Windows tool, use the Uninstall Tool.
Download it from the official site, install it and run it.
Uninstall Tool is a paid program, but it has a trial period of 30 days, which is enough for us.
Find uTorrent in the right window of the tool. Then, click on the “Program” column to sort the list.
With uTorrent selected, click the force delete button.
In the window that opens, carefully read the warning. If you are sure that uninstalling by standard means will not work, click YES.
When the process is complete, restart your computer.
